Heartland Disaster Help formed a partnership with First Street to utilize their risk API for natural disasters. Heartland Disaster Help was the first organization to use their API and we were the first to implement it on another website. Users can type in their residential address in Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, or South Dakota and see their risk for fire, flood, heat, and wind. We are in the process of adding air (pollution) risk. The site also has a complete library of disaster preparedness organizations, as well as recent disasters.
In addition to the website we updated the logo, branding package, social media graphics, and promotional materials for risk toolkits.
